Ned Ëbru Ner (/ned/ /ˈɛbru/ [anxious] [certificate]) is a temperate Town located in the Skruvnōk Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Ned Ëbru Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Ned Ëbru Ner was founded by Nantera Agondren, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Ned Ëbru Ner has a yearly average temperature of 6°C (42°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant -12°C (11°F). Ned Ëbru Ner receives an average of 303 cm/y (119 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Ned Ëbru Ner covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2524 m (8280 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ned Ëbru Ner was founded durring the early 10th century, by Nantera Agondren. The establishment of Ned Ëbru Ner was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Nantera Agondren struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Ned Ëbru Ner as a prison colony.

Ned Ëbru Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ned Ëbru Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Ned Ëbru Ner is buildings are arranged arround a single broad flagstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Ned Ëbru Ner's failry decent fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Ned Ëbru Ner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Ned Ëbru Ner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Ned Ëbru Ner possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Ned Ëbru Ner's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.

Ned Ëbru Ner possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. In spite of the Galvanic Grid, these lights continue to use their old fule sources to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Cultural Notes

Ned Ëbru Ner's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Ned Ëbru Ner.

The Anhana near Ned Ëbru Ner are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Ned Ëbru Ner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves square dance to channel Augury energies of tier 2 via speaking in tongues.

Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Ned Ëbru Ner suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes.
